More than 50 years ago, a dream was born on these tranquil shores. It was the dream of Mary and Andreas Mourelatos, who envisioned a destination where families and friends could gather to experience the joy of good old-fashioned Greek hospitality amidst one of the most beautiful landscapes on earth. In 1978, they brought this vision to life, founding what is now known as Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort, an iconic fixture on Lake Tahoe's North Shore.

As one of the last family-owned and operated lakefront resorts in North Lake Tahoe, Mourelatos fosters long-term relationships with guests who return year-after-year to make new memories and cherish old ones. Here, families, couples, and adventurers are embraced by an idyllic setting, Greek heritage and old Tahoe charm, where the forest meets the beach, creating an unforgettable retreat for everyone.

For those who love to explore, MLRTahoe backs up to the North Tahoe Regional Park, providing access to 124 acres of hiking, biking, and winter sports. World-class ski resorts like Palisades Tahoe and Northstar California are just a short drive away, making it easy to enjoy some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country. For those who seek more extreme adventure, our backcountry explorations begin within minutes of the resort.  Local restaurants, shops, and music venues are also nearby, offering even more ways to experience our vibrant Lake Tahoe communities.

At Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort, it’s about more than just a place to stay—it’s about creating the experience of a lifetime. The legacy lives on in every detail, with lasting memories just waiting to be made.

Let us help make your next trip to Lake Tahoe unforgettable.
